Haida Gwaii recreation is interested in supporting our community in anyway possible. Our leaders are always available to support the growth of your ideas and goals. Although we’re a small growing organization, we want to have a positive impact on as many lives as possible.

Moresby Island Travel Fund

Connecting you to recreation in the Haida Gwaii.

The Moresby Island Travel Fund was created by Haida Gwaii Recreation to increase access to recreation opportunities and programs for Moresby Island residents, as well as encourage all-island attendance of recreation programs and events on Moresby Island.

This fund can be used to reduce travel barriers for the following:

  • Haida Gwaii all-island sports (soccer, basketball)
  • Haida Gwaii all-island programs and events (art shows, theatre, live music)
  • Recreation programs or events on Graham Island (Morseby Island residents)
  • Recreation programs or events on Moresby Island (Graham Island residents)

To access this fund, please submit the original copies (only) of your BC Ferries receipts and description of the program attended to:

Haida Gwaii Recreation, PO Box 187, Masset V0T 1M0.

Please note that receipts must be received within 30 days of travel, and will be reimbursed to a maximum of $200.00 per person and/or household.

This fund reduces travel barriers for the following:

Haida Gwaii all-island sports programs

All-island sports programs and activities such as soccer and basketball.

Haida Gwaii all-island arts events

All-island arts events such as art shows, theatre, and live music.

Programs & Events on Graham Island

Recreational programs and activities for residents of Moresby Island.

Programs & Events on Moresby Island

Recreational programs and activities for residents of Graham Island.
