Weight Room Orientation – Daajing Giids
The weight room at Gidgalang Kuuyas Naay is open for public use! Open hours: 5am – 8am, 5pm – 10pm M-F when school is in use. Closed during school hours to public and for school events. Open 5am – 1opm on weekends, holidays, and in the summer. Key card access + annual registration only. Once orientation is complete, please SIGN ONLINE WAIVER HERE and head to SD#50 to buy your membership — (details below).

Be sure to read all the details below so you know how you can gain access:
- Card lock entry is now required. Pay your memberships & obtain a card for entry at the School District office in Daajing Giids after your orientation.
- Mandatory Orientations – if you completed orientation & had a membership prior to March 2020 (pre-COVID) you DO NOT have to attend another orientation. All NEW memberships MUST attend a mandatory orientation before they are able to purchase a membership.
- Anyone 18 years or under must be accompanied by an adult for orientations. If not, please provide email of parent/guardian to sign online waiver and grant permission. No one under 14 years of age is permitted in the weight room.
- Once orientations are complete, we send a list of names to the district office. You will be able to go to their office to attain membership (cash or cheque only) & get your card between 9am – 2pm, Monday – Friday (closed holidays). The cost is $105 for the year and a $10 key card deposit (total = $115).
- Indoor shoes only, water only. Please no food or drink. Gym etiquette is posted on the doors.
- Violence and harassment will not be tolerated. You are on camera. Any and all incidents can be reported to HG Rec at info@hgrec.com or to the District Office to remediate. If you have card access, you are not permitted to grant others without membership access to the gym. Upon entry, there is a 5-second video taken of those entering and it can be determined if you are bringing in those not registered. If that happens we will deactivate your card entry and you will be granted 1 chance to have it reactivated at the SD50 Board Office. Failure to comply may result in a ban from the weight room indefinitely.
