ART in the Wild – OLD MASSETT/MASSET
Love Art? Love being outside?Come spend 3 days sketching, painting and playing with friends out at White Creek!
ART in the Wild is a 3 day outdoor art camp for 8-13 year olds taking place March 16th-18th (first week of the school March break). Children are expected to bring their own lunch and snacks. Instructors: Toby Sanmiya & Meaghan MacArthur. Cost for 3 days is $75 (transportation to and from White Creek and all art materials supplied).
Schedule*
- Day one: March 16th (8:30am – 1:30pm)
In the Art Studio at GTN we will explore technique and tools needed to prepare students for the following field days out at White Creek. Sketching, blocking out a canvas for landscape, basic colour theory and blending techniques will be taught and practiced. - Day Two: March 17th (8:30am – 1:30pm)
Field Day 1 out at White Creek! Our first day putting our learning into practice either at the creekside or with an ocean view. Students also have fun playing games and exploring the area together! - Day Three: March 18th (8:30am – 1:30pm)
Field Day 2 out at White Creek. Another day full of art but this time we will hike to location and practice sketching and painting a lush forest scene. And once again students will have time to play and explore together!

PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of 8 registrations are needed by March 12, 2020 to make this program sustainable.
