INTRODUCTION TO PERFORMING ARTS: MUSICAL THEATRE
Does your child have an interest in performing for an audience? Do they love to sing and dance at home? Join Celina & Yoshiko at Sun Studio in a 5-week musical theatre program for youth ages 7 – 10. Participants will be encouraged and supported by the instructors to develop their stage presence, confidence, & creativity. Each class will prepare participants for their family-friendly performance at the studio!
DATE(S): January 6 – February 10, 2020
DAY(S): Mondays (and Saturday February 8th, 1:15PM – 2:15PM)
TIME(S): 3:30PM – 4:45PM
AGE(S): 7 – 10
COST(S): $100 (7 classes total)
LOCATION: Sun Studio, Queen Charlotte
PLEASE NOTE: Drop-ins are not available for this program and a minimum of 8 registrations are needed to make this program sustainable, thank you. Last date for a full refund: January 2nd, 2020.

BIO:
Celina Laursen is a registered midwife on Haida Gwaii and long-term resident of Tlell. She has past professional theatrical experience and a passion for the performing arts, and her daughter Yoshiko now shares this passion! When she’s not birthing babies in rural BC, Celina has contributed her talents to many musical & theatre programs island-wide. We’re excited to see this dymanic mother-daughter duo in action!
